This series of recordings is a collaboration with my old friend, collaborator, and successful astrologer Gemini Brett. Over the past few years, we've embarked on an exciting journey to connect Brett's astrology with my skills in musical improvisation and composition; the result is what we call "Soul Songs". Each commissioned "Soul Song" begins as a personalized birth chart reading from Gemini Brett, eventually mapped to specific notes and musical events from which I create a 12-minute "Soul Song" recording. 300+ songs and counting, this project has been constantly evolving... most recently when we began creating songs not only for people's births, but for deaths, relationships, current birthdays, and new moons. For 2022, Brett charted out each of the 13 new moons, with the idea that this would illuminate all kinds of interesting thoughts about how the following months would unfold. I recorded a 7-minute solo improvisation based on each new moon; the result is here--something closer to the vibe of an actual old school album. There's a story to follow-- and I hope you enjoy the ride!
